Our Essentials

About the Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that individuals were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.
Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ (the Son of God) became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience.
As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin.
Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.
To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

About Following Jesus

We believe all followers of Jesus should live for Christ and not for themselves.
By pursuing intimacy with God, growing in their love of one another, and serving one another in love,
every follower will continue to grow in their obedience to Jesus’ commands and in their daily surrender to the Spirit of God.
Because of this, followers will, in turn, help others to follow Jesus.

About Baptism

We believe water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an outward sign of an inward work and is a natural step toward a growing intimacy with God.
Christ modeled this behavior and we desire to follow His example.

About Communion

We believe in sharing of the bread and the cup of communion is a remembrance of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection.
We celebrate an open communion for all people and encourage you to seek Christ to fully understand its importance.

About Christ’s Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head.
Those committed to Christ and His church have trusted by faith the finished work of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.

Our Values

Unconditional Acceptance

We love and accept all people exactly where they are without prejudice or judgement
and help them become authentic followers of Jesus.

Biblical Authority

We Believe God speaks to us through the Scriptures and all scripture is useful for teaching and correction.
We also believe that Jesus was given all authority, in heaven and on earth, therefore, Jesus Christ is our ultimate authority.

Intimacy with God

We believe God desires an intimate relationship with every person.
Through prayer, meditation, worship, and Bible study, we can pursue and achieve intimacy with the Father.

Relevant Environments

We believe our role is to create environments that are conducive to the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people.
A relevant environment combined with practical teaching provides opportunities for intimacy with God and growth in individuals.

Relational Evangelism

We believe that all followers have the responsibility of carrying out the great commission in their sphere of influence.

Authentic Community

We believe a sense of belonging, personal accountability, and individual care are critical to balance and progress in our spiritual journey.
These three things are best achieved within the context of a small group of relationally-connected people.

Strategic Service

As gifted members of the body of Christ, each individual is responsible for exercising his or her gifts in tandem with other members of the body.
Maximum impact is contingent upon a coordinated, strategic exercise of gifts in the body.

Intentional Replication

We believe that every follower is responsible for passing along to others the knowledge, skills, and opportunities for service that God, through others, entrusted to them.
This helps to ensure Followers of Christ are developing Followers of Christ.

Authenticity

What you see is what you get - so we do our very best to honor Jesus by living in such a way that others are drawn to Him and will desire to follow Him.
